Hi there,
Today I took the aprilia out as had been sitting for a while while on holiday.
I got back home and found a buzzing from the indicator relay when i turned it right. The left side work fine though. Never had this problem before even when fitted the tail tidy and had the wires to the rear lights disconnected. Do you think the relay unit is smoked and needs replacing? Or is there another issue? Thanks berkeley

Indicator relay issue: Wiring Diagram
My understanding is that the flasher is used for both sides. The power is run to the flasher first, then to the switch. Item 32 is the flasher unit. It gets power from the key switch at 15. Goes to the blinker and is sent to the switch at 17. From there it's sent to the lamps. If the flasher is busy it could be that the relay as going out, or maybe you have a bulb going out. You could try switching a bulb from the other side.
Here's the wiring diagram. I grabbed it from the Wiring Diagrams page.

Re: Indicator relay issue
great, many thanks
I had a look, the bulbs were fine but just a tiny piece exposed wire on the rear indicator that was shorting out as causing it
thanks for the info once again.
