Looking for opinions on the value of a clean 2000 Cagiva Mito Evo II 125 with 3700 km.

I cant help with any authority. But someone has a 1999 GPR 50 on eBay for $5,000, with only 100 miles. Not 100% sure of how comparable that is.

That's the exact model and livery mine had originally. It looks like the rear is sitting too low for some reason. They should know it's not a 50 - it's a 75.

The Mito that I saw for sale is right about twice that price, which seems like too much. The Mito is a 125cc 2-stroke, and I believe a bit more rare and desirable than a GPR.

That rear end has definitely collapsed. Missing rear shock? I cant see the suspension linkage braking.

So if you are not going for the expensive, albeit rare Cagiva. There is a GPR in Miami for sale, at what I think it a reasonable price.

I have a GPR75, and always liked the Mito quite a bit, but they may be out of reach for me.

The Mito that was listed for sale in my area on CL for $12,000 didn't sell locally, but I see it sold at auction for $8000.

A bit out of my price range, unfortunately.

So much depends on the exact market and the exact condition. In the UK, mainland Europe or California (if plated/ registered/ CA legal) I would think it could sell at a premium. Elsewhere, it could be a tough sell as the rarity does it no favors in terms of being able to service or repair it. Parts are exceptionally rare. 10 years ago parts were relatively plentiful for my Aprilias but now even they are becoming difficult to source OEM parts for.

The Mito was always seen as a slight cut above the Aprilia RS125 and other 125cc competitors. So it is theoretically the most desirable of the 125cc sport bikes. But it will always be less than the value of a comparable Ducati 748/ 916/ 996/ 998. That’s just the way it is. So if I can buy a really nice 748 for $7k-$8k, then your Mito will be the same or less. Nostalgia is one helluva drug, but it doesn’t make a 125 worth more than a 748 no matter how cool it may be.
