After several years of the RGV being on display in a friend's private garage next to his Ferraris and old school muscle cars, it's time to make this bike street worthy again. For the past year the bike was moved with all the cars to a warehouse storage and is in need of some TLC. First off the bike was very dirty and needs a good cleaning. Next there are several mechanical issues that need to be addressed the rear brake caliper is seized, the carbs are puking out fuel, all the fluids are very old and the bike needs new tires. It still has the old Dunlop 207GPs from 2003, so the tires are about 15 years old. Guess I have my work cut out for me.

I was able to find some time to work on the RGV today. Changed the trans fluid, flushed the cooling system, flushed front and rear brakes. Surprising the cooling system looked ok after years of sitting. Then again I had distilled water and water wetter in the cooling system. I was able to clean all the crap out of the carbs and un-seize the rear brake caliper. In the near future I plan to replace all the cooling hoses and the intake manifolds. The hoses look good still but they are about 14 years old. The intake manifolds are original and have surface cracks. I removed the manifolds and the cracks did not go through.

Good to see it being brought back to proper working order.

Keep up the good work!
